COM-EXPRESS Video Carrier Board For Stand Alone HD Medical Video Recorder

Project Requirements :

This board was designed exclusively for one of our clients. The board dimensions were set by the customer due to the fact that the board had to reside in an embedded system. Supports a module COM EXPRESS adding connectivity for a Gigabit ethernet, 2 usb 2.0, serial port into an RJ45, audio and video outputs in an FFC for connection of a LED display, etc. The system needed also to feature an Analog and digital video acquisition and hardware compression unit, plus a transmission of the compressed video stream unit to the to COM EXPRESS module through the PCIe.


H264 Video Encoder/Decoder Solution for AV over IP

Project Requirements :

The goal of our customer was to build a video distribution over IP solution, which would include an encoder capable of capturing video of up to 1080p60, encode it in H.264 / MPEG-4 Part 10 High Profile level 5.1 and transmit it over a standard IP network at user-defined low bitrates for excellent quality and minimal network bandwidth consumption. This video stream had to be decoded by one or more decoders connected to the same standard 100/1000Mb Ethernet network and displayed in a maximun latency of 15 ms.

  • Analog and Digital video inputs: Multiples encoders model were build allowing to capture video from 3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI and VGA inputs.
  • Simultaneous video capture and playback: All encoder models were equipped with an HDMI loop through output to allow acquisition, compression, and playback to take place simultaneously.
  • Stand alone embedded Linux device: This was obtained by using the on-board dual-core IMX7 processor, 2×16 bits DDR3, eMMC and the Gigabit Ethernet PHY
  • Ultra low latency: Low latency was achieved by beginning compression during the acquisition of the frame itself.

MINI-ITX Form Factor Remote head camera receiver and processing board

This system is the combination of a 4K remote camera head with our camera control board mounted on top of a mini ITX mother board. The remote camera head inputs into the camera 9.03M pixels (4096×2160) at 60 frames per second in a 10-bit-digital format. The raw image captured by the sensor is processed on the control board (demosaicing, white balance, gamma correction, edge sharpening …) and then transmitted to the onboard output modules. This board features an HDMI 2.0 output,four 12G/3G/HD-BNC outputs and a display port output allowing for live monitoring via SDI, HDMI, and Display Port on all outputs simultaneously. The control board features a PCIe Gen2 x4 for video acquisition purposes allowing the user to capture of 4Kp60 video from the camera with a latency as low as 64 Video Lines.

uQSEVEN Medical Video Carrier Board for Video Overlay (OSD)

This board was specifficaly designed to obtain medical information from the patient over the network or over the onbard RS232 port and displayed it on real time on top of the video input. Some of the requirements were to be able to capture video up to 1080p60, support for Gigabit Ethernet, overlay image with a refresh rate of 30fps transfered to the board via PCIe link and to be able to output the video input with superimposed video overlay image in real time without delay.
