Enciris rolls out 4K Software Defined Hardware (SDH) update for video platform products

Enciris has announced the availability of a new update for its LT-300 series video platform range of advanced video capture cards that all feature Software Defined Hardware (SDH). This update code-named 1.4.0, brings a multitude of new features to the LT-300 family including:

  • Superior Video & Audio
    • Enhanced playback with improved de-interlacing for significantly smoother visuals with supported standards.
    • Audio MP3 and AAC encoding has been fully enabled for expanded compatibility and higher-quality AV recordings.
  • Smarter File Management
    • New file naming combined with auto-increment and safer recording splitting makes file management within different work-flows seamless.
    • Improved abilities to more easily pause Audio/Video Streaming & Recording.
  • Firmware & Compatibility
    • Robust updates and further optimizations for automatic Quality Of Service (QOS), allowing more reliable multi-stream capture of 4K and HD sources.
    • Latest Windows, Debian 13.2 LTS and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS drivers and support allowing simplified System Integration.
  • Developer Experience
    • Refined Python and C++ Software Development Kits with improved documentation and updated code examples. This release also features an improved RESTful API implementation now based on just two simple commands, “POST” and “GET”.
  • Performance & Stability
    • Faster, more accurate audio pipelines and increased system stability, with bug fixes to embedded core services.
    • On-board FFmpeg integration has been expanded for smoother encoding with support added for concurrent pipe-lined work-flows.
